Be part of Thrive Youth's 30th Anniversary Mini-Doc!

The Project: The "I Am Thrive" Montage

We are putting together a powerful video montage of our alumni. We want to capture the raw, real-world authenticity of our community, filmed by you, in your own environment.

The Activity: Think of one word that represents who you are today—something that speaks to your personal brand of leadership and the journey you’ve been on. For example, "I am tenacious," "I am creative," "I am a leader," "I am resilient," or "I am unique."

The sky is the limit! Many of you may even remember doing an activity similar to this during your time with us.

How to Participate

It only takes a minute! Here is how to record your footage:

• The Script: Record yourself saying “I am” followed by your chosen word (e.g., "I am courageous") followed by the phrase: "I am Thrive."

• The Format: Please film horizontally (landscape mode) on your phone or computer.

• The Setting: Try to find a well-lit spot. We love the "real-world" feel, so don't worry about it being a professional studio!

• The Delivery: You can record this as one video (just leave a 3-second pause between the two lines) or as two separate clips.

As a token of our appreciation for helping us commemorate this milestone, everyone who submits a video will have their name entered into a randomized draw for a $25 gift card! The winner will get to choose their card from one of the following: Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Amazon, Uber, DoorDash, Apple, Sephora, Cineplex, or Best Buy. The winner will be notified via email in early March.

By uploading your video, you are helping us celebrate 30 years of impact! To include your footage in our upcoming documentary and anniversary materials, we need your consent to the following:

• Grant of Rights: You grant Thrive Youth Development Canada the non-exclusive right to use, edit, and incorporate your video and likeness into our 30th-anniversary documentary, as well as related promotional materials (including social media, website, and presentations).

• Ownership: You confirm that the video is your own original work and that you have the right to grant this permission.

• Voluntary Participation: You understand that while we hope to include as many voices as possible, submission does not guarantee inclusion in the final cut of the documentary.
