Thrive Youth & Lotus Hero Project: Rural PEC Pilot Program
We are thrilled to announce an exciting new collaboration between Thrive Youth and The Lotus Hero Project. With the generous support of the COMART Foundation and the Joyce Family Foundation, LHP is helping to bring Thrive Youth’s proven arts-based leadership programming to rural communities across Prince Edward County starting in Fall 2026!
The first program that will launch in this initiative is Build to Change, which will run in both Ameliasburgh and Wellington to help bridge the opportunity gap for families based in PEC's satellite communities. Build to Change is an engaging 10-session program designed for youth ages 11–15 that turns creative expression into essential life skills. More than just an arts program, it’s a hands-on space where tweens and teens explore issues that matter to them through a variety of art forms, such as storytelling, visual arts, music, and performance.
Along the way, participants learn how to take an idea from concept to completion, communicate with confidence, and tackle real-world problems. It’s a dynamic, supportive alternative to traditional classroom learning that helps youth discover their voice, build resilience, and see themselves as capable leaders.
